WHITE TAIL DEER

“Overrun” is the word used by locals to describe the Whitetail Deer population and, indeed, it’s nearly impossible to travel more than a couple of miles over the property with out encountering at least one or two. It’s not at all unusual for them to wander among the buildings at the main ranch grazing or cleaning up loose grain.

Terrain and Habitat- all of the areas designated for visiting hunters are posted so that hunting rights are reserved exclusively for you. Maps and detailed directions will be provided upon your arrival, or ahead of time at your request.

The terrain itself varies from rolling hills and wetlands (large water miles across or intermediate to small potholes) to crop land which is, of course, particularly attractive to game birds. There are  over 1000 acres of wheat and oat stubble divided between the three units available for you to hunt.
